National Library of Israel
layers of knowledge

The human species has long transferred information and knowledge through drawings and texts; from the old tablets and cave drawings to today's computer screens and motion pictures. The way we process information and the pace at which we receive it evolves exponentially, yet the eye remains the window to our mind. In Dror’s vision for the National Library of Israel, the edifice design opens a multi-layered platform that integrates the essence of a library: its historical, social and cultural significance and its educational responsibility.
